Another Tale of a Bad Relationship

I spent six years with and recently escaped a narcissist and lived to tell the tale. So far. If I don’t publish anything after this for an extended time, please call the authorities or google me for an update on my body’s recovery. (uncomfortable chuckle)

In 2018, we took a trip to Oregon; it was probably one of, if not my favorite, trips with him. I loved being there. And I loved us when we were there — which was an extremely rare thing. At least that’s what my memory tells me; euphoric recall, it’s not helpful.

We spent a few days and evenings in the Mt. Hood area, hoping for some Sasquatch action. He is a firm believer, and I love the idea of believing in anything which lacks proof or strong evidence. Ding Ding! There’s the first clue to being attracted to a narcissist.

As I look back on our life together, searching was a theme. He created a successful business telling ghost stories and conducting paranormal investigations; now, he was determined to find Bigfoot. I tagged along on expeditions excitedly and learned how to look beyond the surface for what I so desperately needed to see.
